Last night the Magpies Trust board met with Andy Walsh who is Head of Community-Ownership & National Game at the Football Supporters Association in what can be described as a very productive evening.
During the evening we used the expert advice from Andy to discuss how to develop the Trust into a higher performing professional organisation that can be the official voice of supporters of Chorley Football Club.
The current Trust board will be revising the model rules of the organisation which have not been changed since the amalgamation 11 years ago. The revision will be done with assistance from the FSA to ensure that the integrity of Magpies Trust remains.
As part of this meeting we have also had clarification on legal support that is available to the Trust with operational policies and procedures as well as how the FSA can help with potential takeovers.
We feel that it is our duty as the official Trust of Chorley Football Club to seek out this advice to make sure that the outcome of the current takeover talks are in the best interest of the Club, supporters and the community.
We will continue to keep you update as much as we possibly can.
