Earlier this month we announced that Julian was to stand down as Chair of Magpies Trust and therefore started the process to find a replacement amongst The Magpies community.
The process in replacing the Chair of Magpies Trust does not require a formal vote amongst the members as the current Trust board have the power to co-opt onto the board with the allocation of roles being decided amongst the board.
We are pleased to announce that the position has been filled and will be held by Mark Oldham going forward. You are hereby invited to attend the Meet the Chair event which is taking place on Thursday 7th November at Chorley Football Club. The doors will open at 7pm with the meeting starting at 8pm.
This announcement comes as part of Magpies Trust’s ongoing commitment to strengthening community ties and enhancing transparency between the club's leadership and its loyal supporters. Attendees will have an exclusive opportunity to hear directly from the newly appointed Chair on their vision for the future.
“We are keen to welcome all supporters to this special evening, which not only marks a new chapter in the leadership of the Magpies Trust but also reinforces our commitment to working closely with fans,” said outgoing Chair, Julian. “It’s an exciting time for all of us, and we want our supporters to be part of the journey every step of the way which is why we are opening this meeting to all supporters, both members and non-members. Magpies Trust and the previous Chorley Supporters Club mean a lot to me and I am glad that an individual such as Mark is here to continue the progress we have made over the years. I would ask that during this period of transition that the members remain patient whilst projects are brought back up to speed.”
