We’re looking forward to our trip to South Shields this Saturday, but we’re not quite at the point yet where the number of people travelling covers our costs. To keep running away travel, we need your support to make this journey viable. A decision on the coach will be made tomorrow at 12 noon.
Thank you to everyone who has already booked – your support is greatly appreciated!
Recently, we asked for your feedback on the away travel, and two key points were raised:
- Alcohol on the coach – Some fans mentioned they’d like to be able to drink alcohol during the journey. However, just a reminder that it’s against the law to have alcohol on board a vehicle travelling to a sports venue, so we’re unable to allow it.
- Arrival time – A few fans requested arriving at the destination earlier to enjoy more time before the game. We always plan our departure times carefully, considering traffic, to get to the ground between 1:00 and 1:30pm. This allows plenty of time to settle in and enjoy the pre-match atmosphere.
To make away travel more accessible, we’re introducing an option for non-members to join the trip, with a small £5 increase on the member price. Non-members won’t be eligible for special offers like the £23 adult + junior deal for South Shields, but it’s a great way to still be part of the day. Membership remains the best value, but it’s no longer required to travel with us.
Bookings can be made via our website by clicking this link. If you are a member of Magpies Trust, please use the code MTMEMBER - If you use this code and are not a member of Magpies Trust at the time of travel then you may be refused entry to the coach.
We hope our loyal members understand this decision, and we truly appreciate your continued support. Let’s come together and make this a fantastic away day, backing Preecy and the lads on the road!
