PROGRAMME PIECE: Scarborough

PROGRAMME PIECE: Scarborough

Whilst we will always endeavour to keep this part of the programme purely to Trust related news we cannot fail to mention THAT goal last week. The link to the Trust? We’ll use the fact of how in line Trust HQ is to the goal line. The feeling I felt when King’s Lynn went up to the other end of the pitch to score the winner is one that you don’t get anywhere else, just football. Superb performance from the team though and lots of positives to take from it.

A reminder that today is your final chance to vote for your 2023-2024 player of the season. You can pick up your voting slip from the Golden Girl’s table located just inside the turnstiles at Victory Park. Once you have your slip, take a short walk over to Trust HQ to cast your vote. The ballot closes prior to kick-off today and we aim to announce and present the award at the end of the Peterborough Sports fixture.  If this changes, we’ll let you know via our social media channels.

As ever the work behind the scenes does not stop for the volunteers of the Trust and this week was no exception. We have been working on our online presence adding information to the website, creating a new shop experience which will help you renew your membership, purchase events tickets and hopefully next season purchase match day items such as 50/50 half time tickets.

We are still on the look out for supporters to join our already outstanding bank of volunteers for match days to help with getting the Trust name out there and selling 50/50 tickets – This would of course increase the prize too! You may have notice that it is steadily rising and this doesn’t happen without the hard work of our volunteers, so thank you.

A final rallying call goes to any budding artists that may be reading this. We have recently been donated a black ‘sandwich board’ which we would like decorating. If you think this is something that you can help with then please let any Trust board member know or visit Trust HQ today.

This week’s article will end with some information from the Football Supporters Association. Every few year the FSA conduct a national survey to assess the state of the game and views of football supporters. As an affiliate of the FSA, we highly suggest you take part in the survey to help improve the game for all supporters. More information can be found on our website – www.magpiestrust.org/news

Thank you for reading, and enjoy the game.
