Earlier this evening, Chorley FC announced that Graham Watkinson has left his role as Club Secretary at Victory Park after 14 years. The Trust would like to provide this statement to the fans.
Graham has been a key, central figure at Chorley Football Club for several years, with roles including Vice Chair and Club Secretary. Along with Ken Wright he was custodian of the club until the ownership change in May 2023
A strong advocate of the Trust and what it stands for, Graham attended almost all of our meetings during his time at the Club providing fans with exclusive, first-hand information. He was a strong supporter during the amalgamation of the Supporters Club and the previous Magpies Trust almost 10 years ago.
The Trust would like to take this opportunity to thank Graham for his service to our Club over the last decade and a half and we wish him the very best for his next endeavour. We would also like to place on record thanks to the rest of the Watkinson family, Susan and Jonathan for their contributions to the Club. In the meantime, we welcome Steve Arnold to the Magpie family.
We are keen to develop our working relationship with Steve over the next few months as we continue the progress we have made.
Steve will be formally introduced to the fans at our next meeting which takes place on Thursday 1st February at Victory Park, starting at 8pm.
